Planning your Display

We have firework industry trained staff who will plan and choreograph your display in-house, recommending appropriate fireworks and taking into account any special effects or colours that suit your wedding theme.

Site Visit, Risk Assessment & Method of Safe Working

The process starts post appointment with a site survey. This visit informs us of the site parameters and forms the basis of our event risk assessment and method of safe working. From a site visit we can determine the appropriate scale and dynamic of your show. This ensures that we are designing your show with the appropriate material to ensure that what we present is both spectacular and safe. See our safety record & insurances section for more details.

Design & Scripting

We design your show in house taking any of your specific requirements into account. The output from the design software is called a script. This script is downloaded into the firing systems, which means that your show is fired precisely as per the design. It is also printed and handed to the production team, who then build the show using the information on the script.

Material Prepping

All of our shows are designed and prepared at our main Edinburgh site. We have a range of warehouses and store units, each allocated to the different process of preparing a show. Have a look at our staff profiles for more information on what roles there are in preparing a show, from design, to preparing, to firing.

Firing Systems

Due to the variety of firing systems that we operate we are able to take the terrain or weather into the account and choose the appropriate system for your event.  This means that we are able to achieve precision firing to deliver the intense, professional show that you will be looking for, especially if it’s to music.

Professional Crew & Training

Our experienced staff are fully trained to the highest National Professional Firework BTec Qualification standard and are always on hand to advise on safety issues. You can rest assured that all of our shows are managed by 21cc Fireworks crew.  As there are some important questions that you should be asking your fireworks supplier to ensure that you are choosing a quality, licensed and insured professional company, view our FAQ page for some guidance and information.

Fireworks and the Law

Firework displays cannot take place after 23:00 hours except on 5th November and New Year. A dispensational licence may be granted by the Local Authority upon application. This is something that we can discuss with you if need be.  Please take advice from your wedding venue as to their personal restrictions.

Have a look at our about us pages for more information.
